이성재, 고소영 주연의 영화 '하루'에 나오는 곡이다.
영화에서는 불임부부가 몇 년만에 겨우 아이를 가졌는 데,
아이가 태어나자마자 죽을 꺼라는 것(하루 밖에 살 수 없다는 것)을 알고 큰 슬픔에 휩싸이지만
슬퍼하면서도 세상에 나올 아이에게 조금이라도 기쁨을 주기 위해 노력한다.

그래서 아이가 죽어서, 아이와의 이별을 "good bye"가 아닌 "good night"이라고 하고 싶었나보다.
