Tagging의 단점 - 스팸 문제

처음에 Meta tag를 검색에 사용했을 때는 괜찮았는 데,
그것이 검색에 사용된다는 것을 알고난 후부터는
Tag에 스팸이 넘쳐나기 시작하면서 망하게 됐다네요.
사람들이 가장 많이 쓰는 100대 단어를 전혀관련이 없음에도
적어넣는 다든지 하면서 말이죠.

라는 글의 3.2의 마지막 문단을 보면
" it is interesting to note that metadata efforts have largely failed with web search engines, because any text on the page which is not directly represented to the user is abused to manipulate search engines. There are even numerous companies which specialize in manipulating search engines for profit."
